Congratulations, you’ve set goals!
However are you keeping accountable to them?
Series: Goal Setting
Cohost: Tom Reber from Motor Hard
With a new year upon us and setting goals being at the forefront of all of our minds, I thought it would be cool to create a podcast series on setting goals and keeping accountable to them.
I don’t know if you’re anything like me, however I have set so many goals in the past, to which many of them, for one reason or another, I just forget about.
We all know the importance of creating goals and we’ve all heard the cliché quotes relating to creating goals. You know the ones like; “90% of the goals you write down come true”; “Read your goals out loud every day”, etc.
Well quite frankly, I call bullshit. I spent years doing this and nothing good ever happened because of a couple of reasons.
- They weren’t goals, they were wishes, or dreams
- I hadn’t been creating a game plan of steps to help me get towards my goals
- I had no accountability. To either myself, or someone else.
I asked Tom to co-host this series with me on goal setting because I want you guys to not just set goals this year, I want you to set the right goals and more importantly, I want you to achieve them.
If you do this right, it will change your life, not just your business.
I wish you all a fantastic 2017.

Episode 3. Keeping accountable to your goals
This is the third and final episode of the ‘Setting Goals’ Series with Tom Reber from Motor Hard. If you missed the first two, make sure you jump back and listen to them before you dive into this one because they all tie into each other.
Here’s the first episode.
Here’s the second.
So where the first two podcasts were about creating a goal strategy and formulating goals that work towards your strategy and the bigger picture, this podcast is focussed on helping you remain accountable to your goals.
Right across the planet, it’s without a doubt the number one thing that we all drop the ball on when we talk goals. Setting them is the easy part. Actually keeping them front and present so they’re constantly in our peripherals is the key.
Let it be known, I certainly asked a lot of questions and raised a lot of topics that I have personally struggled with in the past throughout this series, however as selfish as that may sound, I’m sure that what you’ll learn from Tom in these podcasts will help you form the foundation for a successful approach to setting goals and a as result, a successful year ahead.
In this podcast, we cover the following:
- Routines
- Calendars
- The power of association
- Mentors
- Accountability partners
- The ‘Seinfield’ method
- Tools and programs
- Dream boards and visualisation and more

We’ll be launching a product this year, designed to keep you on track, so we’ll let you know when it’s ready.
Also if you liked this episode, go ahead and share it with someone.
